Prolapse can have a significant impact on your quality of life

Pelvic organ prolapse occurs when the pelvic organs, such as the bladder, uterus, or rectum, descend from their normal position, often leading to discomfort, urinary or bowel issues, and a significant impact on daily life. It can also affect relationships and sexual function

Risk factors for pelvic organ prolapse (POP) include childbirth, particularly multiple or complicated vaginal deliveries, which can weaken the pelvic floor, and genetic predisposition, where some women may naturally have weaker connective tissues. Additionally, previous pelvic surgeries, such as a hysterectomy, can disrupt the support structures of the pelvic organs, increasing the risk of prolapse.

Prolapse occurs in women of ALL ages
